2017
11th Sept: Return to college for 4th (Honours) year
early September: Autumn edition of journal published, have now been editor for one year.
August: Submitted final 3rd year module report and accepted onto Honours year
June: Dissertation study began (prehistoric rock art)
30th May: 6th course for Flora Locale on Woodland Plant Identification and Establishment.  In Highland Perthshire for second time. Went well.
May:
second trimester at CoGc complete, three more modules
April: Holland for cousin's 70th birthday party
March: mid-year class exhibition in the Old Hairdresser's, Glasgow
January: first trimester at City of Glasgow College and two modules complete

2016
February:
my own study tour of Venice changed outlook
12th March:
completed second recycled slate sculpture in Ayr
5th May:  offered third year place at City of Glasgow College to study Contemporary Art Practice. My preferred choice.
12th May: 'Wine Journey' artwork for HND Graded Unit installed in Corney and Barrow's wineshop on my birthday. Had a party!
20th May: launch of HND show in Ayr High Street; sold paintings!
10th June: completed HND in Art and Design.
16th August: finished third recycled slate sculpture in Ayr
30th August:  finished at Peak Ecology Ltd
12th September: started degree course at City of Glasgow College
1st October: Appointed Editor of Scottish Forestry journal by the Royal Scottish Forestry Society
October: Appointed joint Vice County Recorder for Ayrshire by BSBI
November: finished 4th recycled slate sculpture in Ayr
early December: winter Scottish Forestry published - my first as editor

2015
June: three ceramic fountains working for end of year shows. Much enjoyed and photographed!
July:  two Pyramidal Orchids were recorded at Lendalfoot, a first for Ayrshire and another bee orchid colony found at Barony!
September: completed my first sculpture made from recycled slate in Ayr

2014
June: completed HNC in Art and Design at Ayrshire College
July: Discovered Yellow Bird's Nest (Hypopitys monotropa) at Barony Bing, a first for Ayrshire. See this date's blog
September: began HND in Art and Design at Ayrshire College

2013
5th October: this website published to cover my ecological and artistic work.
31st October: presented the athlete Steve Cram with a framed photograph I took, after he gave a motivational talk at Ayrshire College. See this date's blog.
